Sorry I am late. The worst part is, I even knew it was yesterday because my LJ says it was girl_zombie's birthday. *hugs* Miss you, kitten.

It has come to my attention that I have way, way, WAY too many pieces of jewellery in my possession.

I am therefore undertaking to clear out a bunch of it before I make too much new stuff. In order to achieve this aim, I am recycling a bunch of the less good pieces, and having a REALLY ENORMOUS SALE to hopefully move some of the rest.

This is how the REALLY ENORMOUS SALE works: all earrings, bracelets and pendants are £3 each (approx US$6), or you can have five for £12 (approx US$40), or ten for £20 (approx US$40). Or even less, if you want more than that, hehe.

It's entirely first come, first served, and the REALLY ENORMOUS SALE prices are for the pieces on Flickr only (there'll probably be a few more of them in the next couple of days). Jewellery, like posting, has been on the slow side recently. Like, I didn't do anything for several months after the wedding. ( But I've finally done a few bits lately... )

Lately, I have been making some jewellery by braiding wire with beads and stuff on it, and also braiding crocheted wire.

I'm still setting up over at wickedplumstore, because everything needs its own damn entry, plus thumbnails and all kinds of shit, but if anyone is interested, I've got loads of pictures posted in the gallery here.

Of course, I've also made some more things since then, and I haven't finished naming things, and it's generally incomplete, but if there's anything you want, let me know.

I'm sorry, but I just have to post some more pictures, because this camera is so good. Very soon, I will get organised and put a bunch of things on Etsy, and on a separate journal, with prices etc. But, oh my God, I love this camera. I'm not a hundred percent sure about the wooden background, but these are still streets ahead of any jewellery photo I've taken yet, and most of them required no tweaking at all. All pictures are bigger than the finished pieces. When I put things up properly, they'll have measurements included.

You know, there comes a time in every woman's life when she has to ask herself, "why did [insert deity of choice here] make me so talented and prolific in certain areas, and such utter crap in others?"

In this particular case, she has to ask herself, "why is it that I am good with a needle, knitting needles, and beads and wire, but I cannot take a fucking photo? Is it the camera? Is it the light? Is it just that I SUCK? What? WHAT IS YOUR PURPOSE IN THIS, O [deity of choice]?"

I've spent half the day trying to take pictures of the jewellery I've been making. I stress trying. I've semi-succeeded. They're recorded, sort of, although I do not think the photos do the pieces justice.

Anyway, I'm posting here, and maybe to craftywhores. I'm hoping, when I get my act together, to sell some of this stuff, if only so I can fund the making of more, so if you're interested owning in any of it, or having anything made, please let me know! If not, I hope you enjoy the pictures, even if they really do fail to show the prettiness. (And they do - I was commenting on every one of these about the photo failing to do justice to the piece, so just take it as read that most of these are better in person.)

Last week, my co-worker called her doctor to find out if they were taking registrations, because I am currently doctorless. They were.

Today, I hike all the way down there, feeling like crap between my cough and my sinus infection, and THEY ARE NOT TAKING THEM.

*hate*

This is complicated by the fact that I need to put doctor details in my occupational health form for my new job. Well, realistically, I was going to have to tell them to go to my old doctor anyway, because I haven't been to the doctor since I've moved. But bleh. And now I think I might be getting an ear infection. And my face hurts.

I realised today that a much more quirky habit I have that I didn't include in the meme about quirky habits is that I talk to cats on TV. A cat appears, looking all cute and cuddly, and I turn into a three year old. "Ohhhh, keeettteeeeeeeeeeeh!" I have a whole voice for it. Cosy mocks me, quite rightly.

Bleh. Stupid sinuses.

Because apparently I am esorlehcar's to command, I have written her Dom-Billy schmoop. It's actually slashy for once. But not porny.

I've just done a brief prune of my friends list and lost a few people. It's really nothing personal, it's just that I tend to read my flist to keep up with my, well, friends, so a few people I didn't actually know have been deleted.
